Both born under the sign of Scorpio (stylised in our logo), we like to get inspired by the scorpion’s universe of symbolism, its capacity to focus on its powers its natural defence attributes, its speed, reflexes and precision, its perception and consciousness. Last but not least we like a detail of its parental behaviour: unlike some other arthropods, the female scorpion does not lay eggs, once its live offspring are born, they crawl onto their mother’s back where they will remain as a group until they are able to get off and find food and a habitat for themselves.

CHIARA SALVIA

chiara_salvia_lit As a translator, interpreter and team coordinator, the fields I mostly like to work in are related to environmental and health sciences, as a matter of fact I am firmly convinced that these are essential ingredients to life on this earth.

Born in Rome in 1976 and having lived and studied in many different countries, I have a natural inclination to foreign languages and a passion to learn new ones.

As a translator, interpreter and team coordinator, the fields I mostly like to work in are related to environmental and health sciences, as a matter of fact I am firmly convinced that these are essential ingredients to life on this earth.

All the projects fostering healthy and sustainable environment are in my opinion, also integral to social development. After more than 10 years working for a company leader in Europe in the field of family reunions,
 I am confident that social rights and fair human relationships are the cornerstones for building a happy and sustainable society.

Travelling has always been the best reward I have granted myself after hard work.
As I wandered around the world I discovered how a tiny creek or a snail on my doorstep can be as awe inspiring as the great cultural landscapes such as Uluru or Teotihuacan and that all of Nature is connected.

ORSETTA SPINOLA

orsetta2 I look forward to meeting new people, to sharing and contributing to the establishment of best practice for life on Earth and resource management.

Born on Chiara’s first birthday, I have grown and been educated in a very multicultural environment, with a broad variety of life experiences.

After completing High School studies in the field of Science, and travelling half the world, I decided to study Sociology. I soon discovered that connecting cultures was the best way for me to understand society.

I then moved to the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, obtaining both degrees simultaneously in 2000, while serving, during the summer months, as a volunteer guest lecturer in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Thomas Moore University of Managua, Nicaragua (in the courses of History of Political Thought and History of Nicaragua).
Since graduating, I have been delivering a broad range of high quality language and editorial services, ranging from translation to DTP, management, language assessment and recruiting/HR activities.
Also, I have always enjoyed International PR and interpreting. In fact, I have acted as Senior Consultant in the Field of Language Services and International PR for the Academic Director and the Principal of the Bolivarian University of Venezuela.

Among my most rewarding experiences: the collaborative management, with Chiara, of EU’s LIFE+ Programme language-related needs, as Project Director and the Recruitment, Set Up and Operations Management of the interpreting needs for the Protocol Office at the Municipality of Rome.
Simultaneously, alongside my professional life, I have been blessed by Mother Nature 5 times!

Parenthood has boosted my organisational and social skills.
When at work, I always try to prioritise top-notch quality in the respect of human relations.
